OSGE representatives participated in the annual Regulatory Information Conference organised by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (U.S. NRC). The development of SMRs was an essential part of this year’s event which brought together nuclear industry representatives from around the world.

Establishment of strategic collaboration in Poland between Hitachi Group and OSGE enables the utilization of modern and proven technological solutions in implementing the BWRX-300 reactor fleet in Poland. The actions and partnership of both companies represent an opportunity for innovation development and increasing the local content share in the construction of SMRs.

OSGE announces Rumina Velshi – former President and CEO of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission – has joined as a Senior Advisor to the CEO and Board as the company works to deploy and operate a fleet of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) in Europe.

The General Director of Environmental Protection (GDOŚ) has issued a decision specifying the scope of the environmental report for the construction of a small modular reactor (SMR) in Stawy Monowskie, Małopolska region. This is the first such decision in the European Union and another important step in the process of deployment of BWRX-300 SMRs in Poland.

Companies, including OSGE shareholder – Synthos Green Energy – are part of a team led by GE-Hitachi which has been awarded a £33.6 million UK Future Nuclear Enabling Fund (FNEF) grant to support development of the BWRX-300 technology.

The Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment issued six decisions-in-principle for the construction of power plants based on GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s BWRX-300 small modular reactor (SMR) at six locations. A total of 24 BWRX-300 reactors can be deployed at the sites. The applications were submitted by OSGE’s special purpose companies.
